This episode was recorded live at Reno Little Theater in Reno, Nevada on July 7, 2023.
Reno Little Theater is one of the longest-running community theater companies in the United States and are just finishing their 88th season here in Northern Nevada. Their most recent show, running through the end of July, is Seussical the Musical, a fun family-friendly musical featuring characters and stories from the works of Dr. Seuss.
On this episode, recorded live after the July 7 performance of Seussical, host Conor McQuivey spoke with the director of the show, Shea King, and technical director Chad Sweet. Topics included the process of casting for a musical, the process of turning flat cartoon images into sets for the stage, the importance of the live audience experience, and much more!
Thank you to those who attended and thanks for listening! The next Renoites LIVE event will be Thursday, July 27 at Black Rabbit Mead.
